CMC History

The CMC Company leading company in the field of transport automation for the ceramic industry was founded in 1981 by a group of people that could already count a great experience in the field. The firm is located in the Casalgrande municipality ( Reggio Emilia ) inner the hearth of Sassuolo Tiles production, but especially in Emilia Romagna, a north Italian region that is one of the most dynamic and organized area of the World. Since early 80’s C.M.C. became popular on the market as producing company and services supplier, dedicating particular attention to the specific needs of the customers. Such characteristics had permitted that the early company of little dimensions, became through substantial transformations an industrial company with organizing structure articulated on many levels and specific functions.

At the end of the 80’s C.M.C. company thanks to the technical and organizative characteristics of its management staff and thanks to some of its innovative projects related to the automation for the ceramic industry, had been able to enter into a very important supply contract with SACMI GROUP, leading company in the fields of industrial plants for ceramic industry, and as the years go by C.M.C. became one of the most important SACMI supplier/partner whether in turnover or quality of service.
Since the early 90’s C.M.C. with its constant technical research together with the desire to improve the technical/commercial activities, experienced some important projects and productions of tableware plants and machines entering into supply contract with the most prestigious company of the field such as POZZI-GINORI, VILLEROY E BOCH and TOGNANA. Noteworthies experiences had been the supplies of transport automations in the chimic area expecially for the AUSIMONT, an ENI Group company and some contracts in refractories ans sanitaryware.

The constant technologic evolution together with the markets aggregation in the years between 1998-2001 let C.M.C. grow pre-establishing one target: the planning and the technical development of innovative products, for the ceramics industry and also for various fields. In fact already today the company holds a technical office equipped with the most modern CAD technologies. The changes mentioned above had allowed to some important acquisition supplies in the mechanical field from important customers like SAINT GOBAIN, TVS SpA and Vaccari SpA.
The company operates on a total area of 5000 sm of which 4200 sm are covered, subdivided in areas of PRODUCTION, STOCKING AREA, SPARE PARTS WAREHOUSE and OFFICES; it has recourse to an articulate organizational structure, composed of 35 units.
The administrative college is the most high administrative organ in charge and it is presided from Mr. Valentini Alessandro.
